Dr. Simon Gavanda
Dr. Simon Gavanda unterstützt das IST-Hochschulteam des Fachbereichs „Fitness and Health“ seit 2015 als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter. An der Deutschen Sporthochschule Köln absolvierte er den Bachelor-Studiengang „Sport und Leistung“ und den Master-Studiengang „Exercise, Science and Coaching“. Seine Dissertation schrieb er an der Sporthochschule Köln über angewandtes Hypertrophietraining. Er forscht hauptsächlich im Bereich der angewandten Trainingswissenschaft mit den Schwerpunkten „Krafttraining“ und „Cheersport“. Zusätzlich ist er in der Trainerausbildung verschiedener Spitzensportverbände und als Wissenschaftskoordinator des Cheerleading und Cheerperformance Verband Deutschland e.V. tätig.
Simon Gavanda has been supporting the IST University team in the “Fitness and Health” department since 2015 as a research associate. He completed his Bachelor’s in Sport and Performance and his Master’s in Exercise, Science and Coaching at the German Sport University Cologne. He earned his PhD there with a dissertation on applied hypertrophy training. His research focuses primarily on applied training science with an emphasis on strength training and cheer sports. Additionally, he is involved in coach education for various elite sports associations and serves as the scientific coordinator for the Cheerleading and Cheerperformance Association Germany.
