International Activities
Companies are acting more and more international. Germany is already an export world champion and many companies are world market leaders in their field. For the young generation, this represents a daily and increasingly important challenge. At the IST University of Management, we see internationalisation as an opportunity. It is part of our education policy and we therefore support our students, staff and professors in the expansion of their international experience.
Partnerships
We want to adjust teaching and research to the constantly and dynamically changing conditions of internationalization. For this reason, the university is taking part in the Erasmus+ programme and has several university partners all over the world. We are always interested in new partnerships.
IST-students worldwide
Our flexible multimedia teaching methods and digital study materials via the Online-Campus enable our students to study with us anywhere in the world. Assessment of examination results
If you decide to study at a German university, it is important for you to know how examinations are graded here. This is not regulated internationally and each country has its own grading scale.
The following grades are awarded for examinations at IST:
1= very good = an excellent performance;
2 = good = a performance that is significantly above the average requirements;
3 = satisfactory = a performance that meets average requirements;
4 = sufficient = a performance that still meets the requirements despite its shortcomings;
5 = insufficient = a performance that no longer meets the requirements due to significant deficiencies.
Only the overall grade of the Bachelor's examination is supplemented by an ECTS grade, which reflects a relative assessment of the examination performance in addition to the absolute grade. The ECTS grade puts the student's individual performance in relation to the performance of other students on the same degree program in a certain period of time.
According to this, students who are in the top 10% of their peer group:
- are in the top 10% of their peer group receive the grade A,
- those in the next 25% receive the grade B,
- those in the next 30% receive the grade C,
- in the next 25% receive a grade D,
- among the worst 10 %, the grade E.
