Prof. Dr. Alexandra Löwe
Prof. Dr. Alexandra Löwe verantwortet an der IST-Hochschule das Themenfeld Mentale Gesundheit mit den Schwerpunkten Stress- und Regenerationsmanagement, Resilienz, Gesundheitspsychologie, Coaching und Gesundheitsförderung. Zudem leitet sie die psychologische Beratungsstelle sowie das Projekt „Healthy Habits“, eine digitale Plattform zur Förderung der Gesundheit von Studierenden. In Forschung, Lehre und Beratung verbindet sie wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse mit langjähriger Praxiserfahrung. Ihr Ziel ist es, Gesundheit, Leistungsfähigkeit und persönliche Entwicklung in Studium und Beruf nachhaltig zu fördern. Nach ihrem wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Studium erwarb sie einen Masterabschluss in „Prävention, Sporttherapie und Gesundheitsmanagement“ und qualifizierte sich darüber hinaus als Personal- und Business Coach. Zusätzlich verfügt sie über zahlreiche Qualifikationen im Fitness- und Wellnessbereich, darunter eine Ausbildung zur Yogalehrerin. Ihre beruflichen Stationen führten sie unter anderem in die Bereiche Personal Training und Projektmanagement sowie in die Assistenz der Geschäftsführung einer Premium-Fitnessstudiokette.
Ihre Promotion im Themenfeld der digitalen Prävention und Gesundheitsförderung an Hochschulen schloss sie an der Deutschen Sporthochschule Köln ab. Darüber hinaus verfügt sie über umfassende Erfahrung in den Bereichen Führungskräftetraining und Personal Coaching sowie im Aufbau gesundheitsförderlicher Arbeits- und Führungskulturen in Unternehmen.
At IST-University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Alexandra Löwe oversees the field of mental health, with a focus on stress and recovery management, resilience, health psychology, coaching, and health promotion. She also heads the psychological counseling center and the “Healthy Habits” project, a digital platform designed to promote student health. In her research, teaching, and counseling, she combines scientific insights with many years of practical experience. Her goal is to sustainably promote health, performance, and personal development in both academic and professional settings. After completing her studies in economics, she earned a master’s degree in “prevention, sports therapy, and health management” and also qualified as a personal and business coach. In addition, she holds numerous certifications in the fitness and wellness sector, including training as a yoga instructor. Her professional career has taken her into fields such as personal training and project management, as well as serving as an executive assistant for a premium fitness studio chain. She completed her doctoral degree in the field of digital prevention and health promotion at universities at the German Sport University Cologne. In addition, she has extensive experience in executive training and personal coaching, as well as in establishing health-promoting work and leadership cultures within companies.
